Prepare, plan and lead

 

Goodwin+Green can observe current facilities and even exemplary buildings to better understand what works and what doesn’t work for your organization. We will convene a programming meeting with you and your stakeholders to reach a firm count of anticipated end users, functions, and adjacency requirements. Concurrently, we will prepare preliminary construction budgets, schedules, and begin to engage engineers and contractors appropriate to execute your project properly.

ARCHITECTURE & PLANNING

Plan, design and spec

 

Our skilled design professionals will work with you and organization members to develop plan options and refine the optimal approach. Once a general space arrangement and architectural style have been defined, we will prepare a schematic virtual model the building to better visualize the end result and secure approvals from all stakeholders. We will conduct one final design meeting to review options for materials, finishes, and systems, listing them in a written format to fix and describe your building.

BUDGET & SCHEDULING

Bid, review and contract

 

Once the project has been drawn and thoroughly defined, we release the documents to qualified contractors to provide cost proposals to execute their work. Goodwin+Green will receive, review, and analyze bids to ensure there are no gaps in the scope and no redundancies among trades. We will review with you the schedule of values of the contract and identify any value added benefits we have uncovered during the bid process. A contract for construction will be prepared and submitted for your execution.

INTEGRATED ENGINEERING

Calculate, formulate, and approve

 

Goodwin+Green will prepare civil site grading and utility plans, architectural plans, details, and schedules, structural foundation and framing plans, mechanical plans, details, and specs, electrical plans, details, and lighting schedules, and landscape and irrigation plans. A final check will be performed by the licensed professionals to ensure compliance with fire, building, accessibility, and energy codes and signed and sealed documents will be issued.

CONSTRUCTION

Plan, coordinate and execute

 

We’ll conduct a pre-con meeting for site and utility work and subsequent pre-installation meetings with each building trade to ensure all contractors are clear on the work required as well as the most current schedule of activities. Our responsive design professionals make timely inspections confirm the building meets spec without delays.
